Party Antz!

It was a "Party Antz" panel I bought some time ago from etsy, I think it is. Bright and colourful. I simply added 2 frames of 2" tone-on-tone fabric of different colours.

Here's how it looks like.

After the 2 frames, I added 3" black polkadot to bring out the 'ants' and finished it off with a 5" striped border.

A simple white base with tiny red prints as backing fabric and pale pink fabric as binding.

Nice!

Denise's Order

D gave me this nativity scene panel and told me to please add borders and quilt the picture.

So I added a 3.5" rich gold fabric all along it . . . .

. . . . a cream tone-on-tone backing fabric and returned to the gold fabric for binding.

She also wanted sleeves at the back (one on top and one at the bottom) so that she can hang this lovely wall hanging in her home.

Serene. Simple. Beautiful.

Pink Squares

I've done this before - remember? I love putting these squares together.

Instead of shocking pink as 1st border (like I did before), I went for a 2.5" solid white. Then, finished off with a 5" lovely pink patterned fabric I came across recently.

Here's how the quilted back looks like.

Pale pink tiny dots was backing fabric and went for yet another shade of pink-mauve marbled fabric for binding.

Nice & Simple.

Nina's Order

Remember the gorgeous-absolute-must-have Cat Panel?? I've done it and its LONG and BIG! Very nearly covers a single bed. N wanted me to tone it down a notch as the cats are already colourful & loud, so I've put a lite pink/mauve on the inside.

For the 1st border, I've put a 2" strip of colourful cat heads fabric (had it in my stash!) and finished it off with a 5.5" lite purplish-pink polkadot fabric.

Backing fabric was white background with purple & lilac flowers and binding is back to the cat heads.

Love how it turned out . . . and my girls are fighting for it. Hope you like it too N!

Dear ALL,

Some of you out there may be wondering, "where on earth is she?"

Sorry guys . . . I've been Missing In Action the last nearly 2 weeks now as my mum has been in hospital. She had surgery and I've been doing the hospital-shift. Hence, haven't had any time to do any sewing.

Mum's doing good and is coming out this week. So I'll be sewing once again . . . soon.

Cars & Stripes

Yes! Another easy-to-whip-up project. Playing with only 2 IKEA fabrics (just like the 'Fun & Bright' quilt). Cut the car fabric into 5" squares and put a 2" green/blue striped fabric as sashing and all around border.

Even had enough left over fabric for a pillow.

Bluish polkadot fabric for backing and binding was a green polkadot - just PERFECT!

All done & lookin' good :-)

Summer Blooms - II

Remember this panel? I cut up the blocks and put them together, resulting in a square-ish quilt some time ago. Decided NOT to cut this time . . . .

. . . . left the panel as it is and added 4 different borders.

Started with the 2" solid pale-pink fabric, then came the 3" green polkadot fabric, next was the 1.5" pale pink print fabric and finished it off with a 5" pink striped fabric.

Backing fabric was just perfect! and binding is the same solid pale-pink fabric.

Long and nice!

9-Patch Block Quilt

Its done! My 1st 9-patch block quilt. The block itself measured 4", so the squares are only 1.5" - tiny for my standards - LOL!

Simply added a 2" solid white as sashing and all around 1st border. Finished it off with strips and strips of colourful scraps measuring 2" x 5".

I love my backing fabric - what more can I say (he!he!he!) and binding fabric was a marbled reddish-maroon.

I simply love this one! Just 5" squares picked at random and stitched together.

Ok, it also had a tiny purple line just before the last line of squares. Just because - LOL!
