I've got this quilt book for some time now. Been looking at it and have tried some patterns. It's a great book!
Saw this "Loving, Hugs & Kisses" pattern and was really taken to it. Looks simple and nice. The above was done in soft pastel color . . . . 
. . . . and this one is done in bright colors.
This is my version of it - slightly modified. But am liking it lots!
The fabric was all like this - bought it in Bandung recently. I simply added borders and quilted the flowered squares one by one.
7 squares across and 10 down. First border was a 2.5" cream tone-on-tone fabric. Stitched it all around.
Next was a 5.5" dark purple fabric with leaves.
Love the backing fabric - lilac polkadot, and dark marbled purple fabric for its binding.
Simple & fast to put together.
This was the fabric. Found it at Cottage Patch, Jalan Ampang. Love it!
Cut 6 blocks of 7" squares and decided on a log cabin pattern in 2 different greens & 2 different blues.
Went back to a lighter shade of blue all around and finished off with an interesting blue striped fabric (bought that in S'pore last year).
Backing fabric was a lite blue/grey with circles on it and decide to be bold & brave and went for a striking red for binding.
Good for a boy!
Went for a holiday to Bandung recently . . . . and came home with the essential FABRICS!!

. . . . some BIG polkadots (perfect for backing fabrics),
. . . . florals in 3 different colors,
. . . . lastly, yet more POLKADOTS! They come in so many colors. If any of you out there would like some, I'm willing to share my loot. They are RM28/ per metre.
Now, this one is simply gorgeous! A dark blue background with pictures of space all over.

"Teddies"
The IKEA Animal fabric again. I just love working with this. Made it simple - cut them up in 5" squares and put a 2" solid blue sashing. Put 5 squares across and 7 squares down.
Finished it off with a 5.5" stripe fabric in green, blue & white - from iKEA , again :-)
The backing is a dark blue fabric with flowers and binding fabric was a lite green.
All done up. Am pleased with the finished results. Hope Nur likes it too!
Don't you just LOVE Sunbonnet Sue! Yet another of A's lovely work.
This is done in lite blue background with writings in silver. She added some 'patchwork strips' at the sides.

It isn't Halloween I know, but my friend A had some Scarecrow paper and decided to put it to good use.
The lid has a lite pink background color, whilst the tin itself is a lite blue.
'Scarecrow & Friends'
The fabric was white with all sorts of baseball, mitts & writings on it having to do with the sport of baseball. There was a pattern in one of my quilt books called the 'slanted quilt' which I decided to try. So I cut the fabric into 6.5" of 12 blocks and put a solid brown fabric as its first sashing.
Then I put a 3" yellow-mustard colored fabric as the 2nd sashing all around and finished it off with a 5" beautiful multi-colored small dots. Perfect!
A matching cream fabric which I thot would go nicely as backing fabric and the binding was a tone on tone dark brown.
I like! Simple. Perfect for a boy.
The whole fabric was like this. Lovely!
It was too lovely to be cut up. So I decided to just divide the fabric in 3 segments and put a 2.5" dark moss-green fabric all around it as its first sashing.
Wanted a mustard color fabric as its second sashing but couldn't find any. So this yellow-ish fabric in my stash looked alright. Ended up with a 5.5" lovely dotted fabric.
A matching green with cream colored flower as backing fabric and returned to the moss-green tone on tone fabric as binding.
Lovely in its simplicity.
What a delight! My friend Y made this delightful pair and I immediately asked if I could have them. Then I asked if she could teach me how to do them. Sure, she said. So here's to more of Mr.Magoo's & Ms.Maggie's lil' ones . . . . :-)

Any child's delight I'm sure. I know I love them!
A lovely very pastel baby panel in blue & green. Saw it. Grabbed it. Its ever so lite in color.
Put a 2.5" lite blue tone on tone fabric. Next was a 2" lite yellow lined fabric. And finally, a 5.5" green fabric with small yellow circles. Went back to the blue for its 4 cornerstone.
My ever loyal blue polkadot (yikes! running out of my polkadot collection) as backing fabric and went back to blue again as binding.
Nice & Sweet. Perfect for a baby boy.
