Baby Genius Quilt

I've been looking for this panel for sometime now - finally bought it! The fabric is called "Baby Genius" as its like a story book for the lil' one.

Too nice to be cut up so I made it into the center piece and simply added 2" strips of three solid colours as borders - red, green and yellow. Finishing border was a 5" multi-coloured striped fabric I had in my stash.

Backing fabric was a nice star prints in cream and binding fabric was a medium sized yellow polkadots.

Bright and Lovely! Really!

Transport Quilt - I

I found this Transport Panel at BERNINA and bought it immediately!

Simply added a 2" solid blue and finished it off with a 5.5" colour dots on white.

Backing fabric was a lovely baby blue polkadot and binding was the same solid blue as before.

Simple!

Blue & Red Starz

 I've always wanted to attempt this - the Ohio Star. Just wanted to make stars after stars. Had a lot of blues & reds in my stash, thus the colours were decided upon :-) The Ohio star blocks were 10" x 10" and I made them into 3 blocks across and 4 blocks down. 

 Then I added a 2" faded, very lite blue fabric as the 1st border and went for strips and strips of the same scraps used in the Ohio star blocks - Lovely!

 Backing fabric was a different shade of blue with alphabets and binding fabrics was yet another solid blue.

I just love this!

Pink Patches

 Going thru my stash, I found this recently. Whipped it out and finished it in a day.

Added a pinkish polkadot border and quilted the center piece into an 8x9" squares.

 Backing fabric was a lighter pink polkadot and binding was the same fabric as finishing border.

VOILA! Done in a jiffy!

Pretty Ballerina - III

 The last of the "Pretty Ballerina" panel that I have in my stash. This is the 3rd that I've done. Decided to do it up and finish it off.

 Nothing to it really - just added a bright pink polkadot as finishing border and quilted the center piece.

 Backing fabric was the same bright pink polkadot and binding fabric was a similar solid pink.

Simple. Girlish.

Vehicles on The Go!

 It was a lovely panel I bought online, which I decided to cut up and re-organize. Went with a solid cream kona in between as sashing.

 After I've squared them up, decided on a 2" dark brown with small black dots as 1st border and finished it off with a 5" striped fabric.

 Felt very bold and went with a green polkadot as backing fabric and dark brown solid as binding.

Looking good here!

Snail Trail - II

 I did this panel before and this time added a different border.

 First I added a 2" solid kona pink border all around and then finished off with a 5.5" polkadot pink.

 Backing fabric was big pinkish circles on white background and binding was the same solid pink.

Sunbonnet Baby - Blue

 It was a simple panel (like the pink one earlier), but this time in blue.

 Added a 5" matching solid kona blue as finishing border and quilted the center piece.

 Backing fabric was a flowery blue and binding was the same solid blue as the finishing border.

Sesame Street

 I simply could not resist this bright & lovely SESAME STREET panel!

 As it is already bright & cheerful, I decided to work on with the 3 main colours - red, blue & yellow. Cut them into 2" long strips and made it into borders.

 Backing fabric & binding is a lovely bright blue-ish polkadot!

A Boy's Quilt - I

 Had this fabric from a long time ago - it was bedsheet material. It looked fun-like and boy-ish so I decided to make it into a boy-quilt instead.

 Simply added a 2" kona solid in cream and finished it up with a 5" colourful stripes.

 Backing was a dark blue print fabric and binding was a lighter blue solid.

Good for a boy!

At the Circus

 A simple panel of animals having fun at the circus on a carousel.

 Added a finishing border of 5" solid lite yellow and quilted the center piece with horizontal lines.

 Matching blue polkadot for its backing and a solid blue for binding.
