Jungle Book!

It was a lovely jungle-animal-fabric I came across in BERNINA and just had to have. Cut them up into 9" squares and put 1.5" dark brown sashings in between.

The dark brown gave it a darker look, so to lighten up I went for a very pale blue-ish green polkadot in between the sashings and as the finishing 6" border.

I actually like the very pale blue-ish green fabric . . . (my daughter said its all wrong!).

Went for printed brown on white fabric for its backing and used up the rest of the dark brown for binding.

I like it. Do you? Good for a boy, no?

Farm animals in Pink & Brown

Found this lovely animal fabric in lite pink and browns, at Bernina's. Too pretty to cut up so made it into a center piece and simply quilted following its block.

Simply added a 3" brighter shade of solid pink and chanced upon this gorgeous brown bubbles fabric. Immediately fell in love with it and made it into a 5" finishing border.

Backing fabric was a quieter white with brown print fabric and binding was my left over shocking pink fabric.

Love how it turned out!

M's Order

Its the same lovely "Little Dancer - Pretty Ballerina" panel. Another request. This time for a single bed for a special little girl . . . .

. . . . and her name is "Ameerah Tasneem".

For such a size, I used up 2 panels. The 1st border was a 3" solid pink fabric and the finishing border was a 7" multicoloured pinkish bubbles fabric, with 4 different corners. Which I alternated with the ballet shoes & fairy wand.

Decided on the multicoloured pinkish bubbles as backing fabric and binding was a bright solid pink.

Just what little girls are made of . . . . :-)

Its nice and B.I.G. and fits a single bed nicely. Hope you and your lil' one will like it M!

OWL bags!

Look at what I found? These lovely owl fabric bags!!

This one is a sling bag / cross body bag. The "feather" on this one is made of plain coloured fabrics. And just look at its 'feet' - so cute! Adore the details on the owl's face.

And this one is a bag-pack. The "feather" on this one is made of colourful batik-like printed fabric. Details on the eye & face is just lovely!

Bought one each for my 2 girls. They're made in Thailand :-).

M's Order

M asked if I could please sew the baby's name on . . . . 'Zara Dhiya Imani' - what a lovely name.

It was the Summer Blooms panel (the 3rd one I'm making). I simply added a 2" solid baby pink, next was a 3.5" lovely yellow striped fabric, and finished off with a 6" tiny pink polkadot fabric.

Backing fabric was a perfect pink flowery print and binding fabric was light solid yellow. PERFECT.

M also wanted 2x matching baby pillows and a matching bear. Used up all my tiny pink polkadots!

Here it is. All in a set, ready to go. Hope you like it M!

Of turtles & caterpillars . . .

Bought this lovely panel with turtles & caterpillars online from snazzy & such. Couldn't resist it really :-)

Teamed it up with a 1.5" pale solid blue first, next was a 3" perfect striped yellow and finished it up with a 5" bright blue tiny polkadot.

Backing fabric was yet another shade of pale bluish-green polkadot and binding was the same bright blue polkadot.
